INTRODUCTION

History shows that only in rare cases individuals or minorities were able to significantly influence the course of the evolution of our race.

But in those instances where it has been successful it changed the appearance of our environment, it influenced the ideology of entire generations, our behaviour in peaceful times as well as in wartimes and it formed societies whose beliefs formed a new basis of unity and strength.

A community strengthened as such would inevitably set new landmarks.

This society, with its way of seeing things and its readyness to make changes, would usher in a new era of trust, solidarity and unity. These are the ideals I feel obliged to follow; it's the reason for me being here today.

Every change leading to something momentous has at its beginning the seed of idea, a fragile framework, prone and vunerable - exposed to the circumstances of its surrounding climate.

This change, this seed of thought is the StepStone project.

Despite only being recently conceived, Stepstone has already been planted into the minds of many and so guided them in different directions.

I would like to invite you now to follow me, indeed us, on a journey which could change your way of thinking and judging forever.
